Article Snippet: According to the 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity and phylogenetic analysis, we selected two type species Methylobacterium organophilum ATCC 27886T (94.01 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity) and Microvirga subterranea FaiI4T (93.95 %), as well as the most similar type strain Methylobacterium salsuginis MRT (94.58 %) as reference strains during our study.
